The Trap Room is a hidden gem full of mid-century nostalgia, with greatly done cocktails served alongside salty peanuts. Run by super dope people, this bar has a retro-masculine-chic design with statement lighting and fantastic bartenders. While they do not serve food, it's a great place to enjoy a cozy atmosphere and excellent service. The intimate setting is perfect for a delicate cocktail, with the option to bring your own records and play them. The speakeasy vibe includes a vintage pinball machine and overall old-school decor. The holiday decorations add to the cozy ambiance, making it a favorite spot for many patrons in town. All in all, The Trap Room is a unique and charming bar worth visiting in Downtown or NODO.

What Laura C dislikes about Trap Room:
Mean staff. Absolutely unwelcoming. Been a few times, since they are next to a concert venue I often go to for PR. They are awful and give an eye roll every time. I thought I was being pranked, the first time. Truly amazing, the lack of hospitality. The few bands I've worked with, won't go there. View all feedback.
Best margaritas on tap and the Tom Cat is quite tasty as well! This is the kind of bar your dad would like - very homey. Our favorite bar in Omaha!
Nice and quaint, intimate little place! Chock-full of bratty, mustache spinning hipsters; undoubtedly doing homework or writing a novel. Very great place to bring a good lookin' constituent for a delicate cocktail. Apparently, you can bring some of your select records and play them via an attractive female tossing them onto an invisible turntable. This 500 square foot speakeasy boasts an hilariously passé pinball machine that looks sorrowfully hungry for quarters. Good luck old partner, you're mostly for looks. Expect grandmas homie apparel, and grandpas unimpressive Bambi antler collection. All in all, this place seems like an end of the night bar, but don't be trouble! The staff here seems full of feminine volatility. A- on the "old fashioned" cocktail, and the careful attention to cleanliness.
Old school and I love it. It's got a great throwback vibe, from the dark lighting to he faded art and yes, the famous stereo as you walk through the door.
You should go here. Reasons: Interesting tap list that includes local selections and a variety of styles Curated seasonal cocktail menu Clean bathrooms, possibly the best in Omaha Outdoor patio Food available to go from neighboring Hook Lime Fantastic bartenders knowledgeable, competent, smart, funny and kind Woman owned Holiday decor is Good view of comings and goings from the Slow Down Never a bad experience Switches to sports bar for the CWS
We decided to go out for a drink after dinner and noticed The Trap Room was decked out for the holidays! This is fun and festive place to go around the Christmas season... they go all out! Drinks were good, but nothing special. Lowkey, small bar that is a good place to hang out!
