Description

The Trap Room is a hidden gem full of mid-century nostalgia, with greatly done cocktails served alongside salty peanuts. Run by super dope people, this bar has a retro-masculine-chic design with statement lighting and fantastic bartenders. While they do not serve food, it's a great place to enjoy a cozy atmosphere and excellent service. The intimate setting is perfect for a delicate cocktail, with the option to bring your own records and play them. The speakeasy vibe includes a vintage pinball machine and overall old-school decor. The holiday decorations add to the cozy ambiance, making it a favorite spot for many patrons in town. All in all, The Trap Room is a unique and charming bar worth visiting in Downtown or NODO.

The female bartender was extremely rude to our group and we were the only people in the bar. Mezcal paloma was also terrible, wouldn't recommend this place.

We dig holiday decorations at this time of year. We also needed a place to wait near Slowdown. Enter The Trap Room. This delightful little bar is next to Hook and Lime. It's a good bar with tables as well. The drinks were well mixed by the owner when we were there. She was personable and professional, and the drinks were great. The decor. I love a bit of holiday cheer. This place is slathered in holiday cheer! Go just to have a drink and bask in the warmth of it. Get a meal next door and have it at the bar. Bask in it. It was great for us.

I actually enjoyed this place and have been to the Traproom too many times to count to enjoy some whiskey and cool decor. This particular night was the first time I was served by Jacky or Jackie the bartender. I have been in the industry now for over 15 years and I can tell you she is in the wrong one. She was rude to everyone and simply didn 't care about it. How are serving people if you don 't like people. She was too edgy to care. She complained about a group that was in there and said it out loud for everyone to hear seeking the validation of other patrons, but we 're all paying customers. I watched her hand out shots to someone who obviously had enough and they threw up on themselves. All you heard come out of her were negative comments about people. She laughs at you with condescension if you ask a question. If people like her, it 's because she gave them a free shot. She 's definitely one of the worst bartenders I 've run into in Omaha, but she 's obviously the coolest in her world. Zero class.
