Whenever I visit Omaha, Welse is always my top choice for dining. I truly enjoy the atmosphere; there's nothing quite like enjoying a meal outdoors in the summer while watching boats glide by. My favorite dish is the Wels dinner, which includes a basket of their amazing maize fritters. The catfish is delicious, perfectly breaded, and accompanied by fries, coleslaw, tartar sauce, and lemon. 15 years ago was super could not wait to come back. Unfortunately, when we came back not whole carfish now 2 small fillets. Increases the price NO A/C. Will not be sad again, that was my wife's favorite place to eat as a child, no more. I heard new owners bought it back for a while. Good luck to you.
Good catfish and chicken dinners. Decent priced drinks. I like that they have local live bands outside here during the summer and fall
If you’re looking for a great restaurant with a river view, this is the place to visit! Great food and great people make this a place a pleasant experience for families and friends to gather for dinner. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a meal and a show (river boats)!
I give 5 stars for the restaurant and location. This place have a good view and live band. I prefer to come here in the evening that way you can seat outside and enjoy the river atmosphere.
Get some good fish in Omaha! Corn fritters and honey as an appetizer were very good. Choices for entree are either fried catfish or fried chicken. Easy choice, right? The catfish was good and came out fast. The tartar sauce and coleslaw were good, but the large fries were just ok. A friend had the chicken and said it was very good. We came on a Sunday night and there was about a hundred people in line to sit outside and enjoy the live music, but our family got a table inside right away. If you want good fried food quickly, with very nice waitresses, some good music, a dance or two, and a place to watch the boats float by, this is the place for you.
