I was here twice, both with family. The pad Thai, which has peanuts, is good. Either the Drunken Ramen or Drunken Noodles is also a good choice. The waiting staff asks you to select your spice level 1-10 for your plate. If you like taste, but not so much heat go with a 3 or 4. If you want your throat to go for 30 minutes after dinner with 10. What User doesn't like about Salween Thai:
Salween has some great dishes and some of my favorite Thai food in Omaha but unfortunately the portion sizes have so small that it is almost no longer worth it. $12-15 for a meal you barely fill. There are other options that give you more for your money these days. Hopefully it changes View all feedback.
Very pathetic restaurant. They are going down the drain: 1. Their prices have become super expensive. They have raised it by 20-30% 2. Portion is drastically reduced, at least by 40% 3. They are adamant to serve outside, but they have chairs and tables. Very strange. 4. When you order a take out, the just throw stuffs in bag. They are very unaccommodating, disorganized and adamant. They lost me as a customer.
20-50% price increase smaller portions lost me as a customer. I used to eat at Salween 2-4 times a month but this will be my last time. In addition to increasing the price for this dish by 20%, they?ve also been cutting down the portion size significantly. This is about half of how much you used to get. Even the containers they use are a lot smaller now and the food still doesn?t fill it. This is something a couple of my friends have noticed as well. Other dishes have had a bigger price hike such as pad thai with a 50% increase. A price increase on its own is fine but not when you also serve a much smaller portion. Shame because I used to really enjoy eating here.
First visit with friends. Food was absolutely delicious! Open air, spacious dining area. Fair prices too. Definitely recommend!
