For some reason I have barely gone to Mark's in the last 5 years and I don't know why. I love the atmosphere inside being on the second floor and looking onto Underwood st. The feel is very relaxing. We ordered the hummus and mac and cheese for an app and they were both delightful. My brother and I order the Cuban which was a good sandwich but not my favorite but I would order it again. What Rigoberto Rodriguez doesn't like about Mark's Bistro:
This was my 3rd visit to Mark's. It has declined each time, much to my chagrin. Very sad. We were there at 1 on a Tuesday. NOT BUSY. Poor, slow service. Maybe she was new? Ok. Just not what it was the first time. The Mac & Cheese, which was phenomenal the first time, was gritty and pasty. ????. The salad was wilted. The cappuccino was subpar. Staff was more concerned with what appeared to be carp... View all feedback.

I'm back.
Mediocre. I took my friend here for his birthday and expected it to be fantastic, because I've heard people say good things about it, and it is expensive. But It wasn't great, to be honest. I found the menu uninspired and the food just so-so. To me it's just a notch above something like Appleby's, although it was nice and cozy. Also the staff was pretty nice.
Lovely place. This is a lovely place. Very cozy. Located in an old house now converted to a restaurant. The food is fantastic. The service is good. The only two gripes we had was that we asked where the salmon was from...Alaska? The waitress did not find out for us even though we asked twice. She said she could not find the chef!! A bit disappointed. Also, we visited in December on a very cold day. Unfortunately, we sat next to the window. It was a bit cold and drafty. Too bad.
Magnificent ambiance, beautiful back deck patio, very green decor and fair priced tasteful food
My husband and I both ordered the special which was a New York Strip with Gorgonzola butter on top. The cut of meat was awful, extremely chewy, not much flavor, and I got so tired of working so hard to cut through it that I stopped eating it half way and just gave up. For the price of the meal we expected much better quality. The food also was very slow to arrive, and it took a while for the waitress to get us another round of drinks while we waited for our entrees. We will NOT be going back, I wish I would have ordered the Mac and cheese as it seems to have good reviews.
