Contribute FeedbackHerbe Sainte offers a lively atmosphere perfect for cocktails and dining. Guests rave about the craft drinks, especially the Old Fashioned, and commend the attentive service that shines brighter as the evening progresses. The food, while not strictly Cajun in style, boasts standout dishes like the clam chowder, jambalaya, and Nola shrimp, which are highlights. However, the limited options for vegan and vegetarian patrons have led to some disappointment. Despite occasional noise levels and service quirks during busy times, Herbe Sainte showcases a delightful experience worth trying, especially for brunch enthusiasts and seafood lovers in Aksarben Village.
The steak and eggs brunch dish was absolutely delicious. The steak was perfectly tender and seasoned, melting in your mouth. The Nola fries were flavorful, and the accompanying sauce provided just the right amount of tanginess and heat. The eggs were also well-seasoned. No complaints at all.
When we initially arrived, the restaurant was very busy. The staff appeared unenthusiastic about serving us at first, but as the rush died down, they seemed more at ease. It was understandable given the hectic atmosphere. The food was delicious and the service improved as the evening went on. I will definitely return when it's calmer. Don't be put off by the 4-star rating - I rarely give 5 stars on a first visit.
My wife and I decided to visit Herbe Sainte for their craft cocktails, but were pleasantly surprised to discover that they also offer food. We started our meal with the delicious White Corn Tacos as an appetizer, followed by my wife ordering the Cajun Mac N Cheese and myself choosing the Shrimp & Grits for dinner. The flavors of the dishes were absolutely amazing! In addition to the food, the craft cocktails were also fantastic. We tried the Peruvian, Bust A Grape, and the Daily Cocktail, all of which were excellent. We have heard great things about their brunch and look forward to trying it next time. Whether you're looking for drinks, dinner, or both, we highly recommend visiting Herbe Sainte. Located in Aksarben Village, you can also enjoy the nearby park for some outdoor activities. The staff was exceptional - super friendly, helpful with recommendations, and very attentive. Overall, a great experience that we highly recommend.
What is not to love about this place? Amazing craft cocktails and the best Cajun Creole food in Omaha. I am so happy that they kept the spice in the food, and didn't tone it down for Midwestern taste buds (that happens way to.often unfortunately). Theservice was great and my date and I both loved our entrées and cocktails. We will definitely be back.
The steak and eggs brunch menu item was incredibly good. Steak was melt-in-your-mouth tender and perfectly seasoned. The Nola fries are delicious and the sauce they came with adds the perfect amount of tanginess and heat. Eggs were well-seasoned. No notes.
