This place is a favorite of my family. We started off all getting birria tacos but now we struggle to not order the whole menu. Meats always tender, veggies are always fresh, service is always great. Never disappoints View all feedback.
What Kiera Sporer doesn't like about El Alteño:
This was by far the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. I received this little surprise in my steak taco. The food was insanely over cooked. My Girlfriend is puking as we speak. I do not recommend anyone to eat here. View all feedback.
Food was pretty good they needed to add a white cheese which they do not carry also they need to give their guests more salsa and chips

I get the carne en su jugo the firest caldo you’ll ever have best soup ever!!!
The tacos took about ten minutes to arrive at our table, and I have to say they were amazing. So far, they are the best tacos I’ve had in Omaha. The birria was incredibly flavorful, with just the right amount of cilantro mixed in. Dipping the tacos into the broth took the experience to a whole new level; it was so good that I even used my spoon to enjoy it like soup! If you're in this part of the city, this is definitely the place to go. I'm also excited to see that they offer breakfast tacos, which means my next visit will be bright and early to try some of those. The atmosphere was pleasant, with plenty of space for everyone, and the restrooms were clean. The staff were all friendly, too. I can't wait to bring my wife here; I'm sure she'll rate it five stars as well!
If you're in search of a tasty and quick Latino meal, this is a great spot. The prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly.
