This is a charming little spot for enjoying the Astro. It has the potential to be fantastic once the service staff become more familiar with the menu and pick up the pace a bit. The food is quite impressive—I'd recommend the blue burger, which is excellent. The avocado toast is also a generous portion served on brioche toast. Just a heads up, the Caesar salad comes as long wedges rather than being tossed, so be prepared for that. Overall, the food is enjoyable, and this place has the makings of a great addition to the LaVista City Center area.

Been to the bar twice. Worst bartending experience. Five people in the place and 30 minutes to get a drink. Bartenders concerned about cleaning glasses than serving patrons.
Great drinks, service, and vibe.
One of my friends ordered fries, and I had a taste. They were incredibly crispy and perfectly salted, so I would definitely order them again! The bartenders were fantastic and exceptionally friendly. They did a wonderful job accommodating our large group and remembered each of us when we ordered more drinks. As for the crowd, the dress code ranged from casual to more dressed-up, which was nice for an upscale bar. I did find the drink prices somewhat unclear, as the menus didn’t list them. For two gimlets, we spent about $24. Catalyst is a great spot for a date night, with inviting alcoves that allow for intimate conversations and a pleasantly dim, romantic atmosphere. The couches and outdoor seating are also ideal for smaller gatherings. Overall, it’s a lovely choice if you're looking for an upscale place downtown with excellent drinks!
