#15 - Order Seafood Omaha, European, Casual

Reviews summary

Nestled in a nondescript location, this restaurant presents a mixed bag of dining experiences. While some guests praise the artful presentation and flavor of select dishes, others lament bland offerings that lack seasoning and creativity. Service can be hit or miss, especially during busy times, leaving patrons feeling overlooked. The ambiance, reminiscent of bygone era eateries, fails to impress. Despite the uneven reviews and peculiar pricing—where a simple dish can command exorbitant rates—those who enjoy classic flavors seem to find solace here. Ultimately, while some diners leave delighted, others depart disappointed, seeking a more memorable meal elsewhere.

Was Chad Bell at Brushi a mag?

The onion soup was quite good, but I definitely prefer a traditional French onion soup. The rigatoni was quite tasty overall. My wife had the scallops and absolutely loved them, while our son thoroughly enjoyed his salmon. The service was excellent; we sat at the bar on a Saturday afternoon and had a great time. The decor is really nice as well. I look forward to trying their dinner options soon. View all feedback.

What Will Lemke dislikes about Brushi:

Wierd place. Reminds me of early bird special restaurants in Miami for the over 60 set. Even the decor is bland and 80s Florida. It looks they they have a professional brigade in the kitchen but the fod lacks passion and boldness. The food is well plated and looks good. However the flavors are bland and underseasoned. The pricing is bizarre. $16 for shrimp parpadelle (which is ok), but a super bland grilled chicken i... View all feedback.

Any place that plates food up as nicely as this instantly gets bonus points in my book. Went here with some friends and was blown way with the service right away. The waiter has tried everything on the menu and was able to describe the flavor, theingredients and what he enjoyed about each entree I ask about. He was able to do the same with wines and we enjoyed a fantasticCabernet with our diner because of his suggestion. All the food came out cooked spectacularly and plated up nicely, and let metell you that it’s been a long time since I’ve had scallops that tasted that good.

Had a lovely date night there with my wife. Food was delicious with an eye-catching upscale appearance. Staff was very friendly as well. Additionally, we forgot my wife’s purse there when we left and the owner himself took the time to make sure it wassafely returned. We so appreciate the above and beyond gesture and will be sure to return to dine in this fine establishmentagain soon.

We celebrated our anniversary at this restaurant, and the waitstaff was fantastic. We both chose to try the specials of the night: I had the Walleye dinner, while my wife enjoyed the Black Angus New York strip steak. We also shared the Normandy onion soup, which was delightful. Additionally, the crab cake appetizer was delicious.

We had a lovely dinner date with my husband. My meal was fantastic! The chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the vegetables had just the right amount of crunch.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was amazing, and the service was very friendly. I almost overlooked it while driving by, so I'm really glad we decided to give it a try. It was the best dining experience I've had so far!

I would eat dinner at this place every evening if I ever win the lottery, which is unlikely because I don't buy tickets, so I'll just keep visiting regularly. Have tried most things on the menu, nearly all of which have been spectacular, but tonight had a nearly out of body transcendent experience after eating six gnocchi. That doesn't sound like much, you may think, but six was all a mere mortal could handle after a toasty bowl of squash soup and platter of whiskey chicken. The gnocchi came with my kid's shrimp and scallop dinner. He didn't know what they were and wouldn't eat them. Too bad; he can learn later. The gnocchi fell off a butter-garlic cloud somewhere and floated gently down to the plate.

I enjoyed the Dinner; had the best ever Veal dish, comparing to other restaurants in EU, UK, US and the ME. Also the waitress was very prompt and friendly.

I can’t believe I’ve never visited this place before, but I’ll definitely be back! The atmosphere was perfect for a business lunch—very stylish and inviting. I probably wouldn’t choose to come here for dinner since it feels more suited for lunch. The menu, while not extensive, offered a great variety! Each dish came out like a work of art, just as our server described, and it wasn’t an exaggeration at all! I had the salmon from the lunch menu, and it was a wonderfully balanced meal. The sauce was flavorful, perfectly complementing the simple rice and salmon without overpowering them. Everything tasted incredible and looked equally appealing! I can’t wait to return, as I’m sure I’d enjoy almost any dish on the menu. Plus, I felt great after my meal, as it wasn’t overly large, making it a perfect spot for a business lunch!

We reserved the party room at Brushi's for a group of 17 for a dinner meeting around Christmas, and I must say, Brushi's is an exceptional fine dining experience. The restaurant is located in the northeast corner of the Hy-Vee Mall at 132nd and Dodge. The staff, including servers and bartenders, were knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. The food was outstanding; each dish was a work of art, both in presentation and flavor. Our entire group was impressed not only by the exquisite food but also by the unique atmosphere that Brushi's offers. It truly stands out as one of the best culinary experiences in Omaha. While it's not a particularly large restaurant, we thoroughly enjoyed the ambience and the remarkable meals crafted by their chef.

In my opinion, this is the best restaurant in Omaha. The food is consistently of the highest quality, and the service is excellent! The prima salad has a perfect balance of flavors—it's absolutely delicious! The fish is always very fresh and well-seasoned. The steaks are even better than what I had at The Drover. The desserts are outstanding as well—try the incredible chocolate mousse if you're looking for a lighter ending to your meal. You won't be disappointed!

The coating is exceptional. Wonderful wine list. Good service and good food. The menu has been the same for a few years and could use an update.
