Bill's BBQ - Omaha
Bill's BBQ
Description
Bill's BBQ is not your typical restaurant - it's a carryout liquor shop, head shop, gas station, and rib shack all in one. The helpful guy behind the bar educated customers on the ribs available for purchase, which we found delicious when ordered dry with sauce on the side. The mild, medium, and hot sauces all pleased different preferences, with the hot sauce being a standout. The atmosphere included great bands and a steady flow of people enjoying their meal. Overall, this North Omaha business is known for its ribs and is a go-to spot for a hearty, manly meal.

This place is ideal for BBQ if you enjoy waiting an entire hour for something as simple as two hot links and two spare ribs. It's absurd—I'll definitely not be returning.
I ordered two brisket dinners, but instead received some kind of BBQ chuck roast or a random, chewy pot roast. The beans were cold, and everything tasted reheated and rubbery. The worst part, however, was the cornbread, which inexplicably had a flavor reminiscent of fish oil or sardines. The cashier was wearing an incredibly greasy and dirty hoodie and spent more time chatting with a friend than assisting customers. It was clear that this establishment lacks competence. It would be funny if I hadn't spent real money on such subpar food and received poor service. It seems you need a certain level of tolerance for chaos to eat at a place like this.
The Beat part is also a head shop. the ribs are best when on the 420. that is, it is in the hood if it does not use to have low income ranges, yes it will be anxious. that means stop being a vaaag and go to the best ribs in omaha
The first thing to know is that Bill's BBQ is not a typical restaurant. It is a carry out liquor shop, head shop, gas station, and rib shack. That being said, the guy behind the bar reinforced cashier's window was very helpful in educating me about the kinds of ribs for sale. As for the ribs themselves, we ordered them dry (sauce on the side) and then ordered all three sauces mild, medium, and hot. I preferred the hot. Kids preferred them dry. Good bark. Excellent smoke flavor and taste. The ends were a bit jerky like. All in all, worth eating.
