When our main dishes arrived, the breakfast sausage patties tasted overwhelmingly of black licorice and were nearly inedible due to the excessive use of fennel and a complete lack of salt. The eggs over easy were enjoyable, and the crispy potato dish (I can’t recall the exact name) certainly lived up to its name. However, the stuffed French toast was more like brioche with some spread on top – it’s hard to mess up French toast, but they managed to do so. I'm reluctant to leave a negative review, and I may consider returning for dinner in the future. I was initially excited to discover this nice brunch spot nearby, but I probably won’t be back for brunch. Such a letdown.
My wife and I celebrated her birthday with a dinner that included a chef's tasting experience paired with wine, and we genuinely loved it. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented and bursting with flavor! The wine pairings were an extra delight for our taste buds. The staff was attentive, friendly, and well-informed. We’re sure that wonderful memories will be made here—and we’re thrilled to have created our own.
The food was decent, but considering the prices, it didn’t stand out. They were also out of some basic items. However, the service was excellent! It was quite hot inside the restaurant; we were all sweating. This was during winter, and they kept opening the front door in an attempt to cool the place down. Unfortunately, when we were just a few feet away from the open door, we felt freezing within a minute. Once the door closed, it went back to being hot and uncomfortable.
A Foreign Taste was an excellent opportunity to experience different food dishes. I am impressed with the Chefs Tasting Menu. Dishes were served and introduced elegantly by staff; the chef even checked our table halfway through our tastings to ensure we were satisfied. Furthermore, the restaurant owner visited customer tables to introduce the chef and get feedback from customers. This in itself is confirmation A Foreign Taste cares and cooks to impress. The atmosphere is clean, quiet and very cozy.
