Description

Silvers Saloon has recently faced a turbulent period, with mixed customer experiences highlighting both the restaurant's potential and its challenges. While some patrons enjoyed the lively atmosphere and friendly staff, noting the charm of its Western decor and appealing brunch events, others encountered subpar food quality and service issues, prompting disappointment. The closure of the establishment following unaddressed complaints reflects a struggle for survival. Nonetheless, hopes linger among some that new ownership may revitalize the space, transitioning it into a promising New Mexican restaurant. As it stands, Silvers Saloon embodies both nostalgia and the unpredictable nature of local dining.

Despite the food being just okay, the atmosphere seemed vibrant, especially during brunch hours and in the evenings. They offer Taco Tuesdays, Prime Rib Fridays, karaoke on weekends, and live music in the summer. I'm looking forward to returning for these events, especially since it could really boost my rating if they're as enjoyable as the bar scene was when we left. The staff was incredibly courteous and friendly, making it clear that this is a local hangout and a great place to meet new people.

I ended up ordering fish and chips, but the fries were soggy, which I could overlook. The fish, however, was practically frozen through, and every bite dripped water everywhere. About 80% of the meal was completely inedible. I don’t mean to be dramatic, but this was by far the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Our waitress mentioned that the restaurant was struggling and would be closing in just over a week. Given that this was a month ago, it feels like an excuse for their poor service.

I drove by today and it seems that Silvers Saloon has permanently closed. The chairs, tables, and canvas covers are all gone from the patio that faced the Pacific. There were no cars in the parking lot. It’s always disappointing when a business doesn’t succeed, but it was clear during my last visit that things were not going well for them. I wish the owners all the best in their future endeavors. There’s talk that the place has been sold, will be remodeled, and will reopen as a New Mexican restaurant with new owners.

Great breakfast food! Very friendly staff! Make sure to ask which Cook is working. One is great for breakfast and the other for the dinners and lunches!! Will be back again.

Do not assume this is merely a bar/saloon. This is a restaurant, and a good one at that. I have experienced most if not all of the restaurants in Olympia proper. I am also a native San Franciscan, and as much as Washingtonians don't like us very much , we do know good food. We were raised on culinary expertise, and from the moment I entered the Silver, I felt safe. Very good vibes, kind people, and real antiques. The authenticity of the venue is incomparable to any other around due to its uniqueness, and really amazing breakfasts. In SF, we are willing to wait hours for properly prepared food. Here, it's only minutes away to a delicious dining experience. Don't be fooled by the outwardly appearance or even the inwardly hanging Western decor, that may suggest something to certain Olympians. You would be very (ass)umptive; And miss out on a very good meal. Stop by and eat for yourself and feel free to let me know if I'm wrong...
