What Nick dislikes about Cryptatropa:
Entered at 11:30, left at 11:40 last night. Lady behind the counter degraded me for not tipping, (in front of other customers by the way) when I was about to go to the atm to get more cash. Needless to say, will NOT be returning. Shame, Used to be my favorite bar. View all feedback.
Enjoyable events and themed nights with a great atmosphere. It's the most LGBTQ-friendly bar in the area!
The events they host are amazing, the atmosphere is outstanding, the drinks are excellent, and the staff is consistently friendly.
A Group of about 10 of us were out celebrating my sons 21st bday. We decided to check this bar out and immediately upon entering we were discriminated against. The Bar keeper was extremely rude. When we walked up to the bar I had gestured to him saying he was so tall and he immediately went to the extreme yelling and saying he wasn't going to serve me because I put my finger in his face. When I say extreme I mean being erratic and walking back and forth behind the bar and raising his voice for the whole bar to hear. Which was really embarrassing. I walked out and went with the rest of my group who were waiting by a table we had picked. This is where another situation started to escalate between another member of our group and the front door guy who was checking ID'S. The guy was yelling at my friend and kicking him out of the bar. I tried to deescalate the situation by calmly asking the guy what had happened and he screamed at me and kicked me out as well. They also had taken my friends nephews ID and wouldn't give it back. Another member of our party decided to go in and ask for it and they lied and said they didn't have it. I wouldn't recommend this bar to anyone. No one deserves to be treated the way we were treated.
