This was my first time eating here. The food was fantastic! I tried two flavors of their tacos and the steak was hands-down the winner! They are small, but piled full of meat! The sides of rice and beans were also small and good. Their salsa is goodas well. I saw someone ask for bigger take-out salsa containers and they gave them to him. I was FULL when I was doneeating. The price is a little high for the amount of food you get (2 tacos w/rice and beans and a soda was $15-16); but it 'sworth treating yourself if you can afford it. Enjoy! Cindy
Very good tacos! I'm a huge fan of the lingua and bistec. Plus they have the toppings bar for your tacos, so you can have it your way. It's a plus they also serve great margaritas!
Tacos have no taste at all, chicken tacos are super salty. Beef tacos are tasteless. $4 a taco is very pricey for this taste. The tacos are not Mexican they are more of a TEX-MEX. only reason I?m giving 2 stars is the quality and quantity of the beef isgood, not the taste.
I hadn’t been to the Olney location before, but even though prices have gone up a bit recently, they’re still reasonable compared to other places. There aren’t many spots nearby that serve asada fries, but they do. With $15, you can basically order anything on the menu, which is quite large and offers plenty of options. The decor is really nice, with good lighting and a pleasant atmosphere. They also serve alcohol, making it a well-rounded spot. There’s plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. Tacos are a bit pricey, but around here, tacos and pupusas aren’t as cheap as they used to be—if you know a more affordable place, let me know! Overall, I really like this place; it’s very good.
I drove up from NYC to Olney and was about to head back when my friend and I decided to stop for a meal to stretch our legs. We chose Mexican food since NYC has countless great options, so we’re pretty experienced with good Mexican cuisine. We looked up Taco Olney and thought, why not? Wow, the food was amazing. It’s not the most upscale or authentic Mexican you’ll find, but the quality and homemade feel really stood out. The place is very clean and modern, and you can tell they genuinely care about what they serve. Next time we’re passing through, we know exactly where we’ll be eating.
