Donauschwaben's German-american Cultural Center

This restaurant is a true hidden gem. Tucked away behind the cultural center, it offers a delightful German menu with a wide selection of traditional dishes, all expertly prepared. I opted for the pork schnitzel, which was both tender and flavorful. My family chose the same dish, and we were all thoroughly impressed. Although I'm not much of a drinker, the beer selection appeared quite extensive and enticing. The ambiance was wonderful, featuring a lovely view of a large lake just below the outdoor patio. Overall, the atmosphere was both comfortable and uplifting. There's also a spacious parking lot that is reportedly used for car shows and Oktoberfest events. If you enjoy German cuisine, this restaurant is a fantastic dining choice.

We enjoyed our meal on the patio, which offered a lovely view of the pond and beautiful surroundings. Our server, Jen, was friendly and well-informed about the German cuisine, beers, and wines. Everything we ordered was delicious and felt genuinely authentic, made from scratch. Even our cheese strudel arrived warm at the table—so tasty! With a perfect score of 5 for food, drinks, and atmosphere, we can’t wait to return soon!

I had the most incredible fish fry during the Lenten season at this restaurant. I visited on a staycation day and enjoyed an amazing meal. My husband ordered chicken paprikash, while I tried the combo that included paprikash schnitzel and bratwurst, served with potato salad and sauerkraut. Both meals came with a choice of potato soup or salad, and everything was just perfect, including the roll and, of course, the cheese strudel for dessert. They also had a great selection of beers, and my husband loved the sweet German wine he ordered. The atmosphere and service were fantastic as well!
