Worth making the detour by either hiking or taking the train up. The food is delicious, varied and beautifully presented. Not your usual alpine stodgy fare! Very attentive and friendly staff, no wonder, working in such a setting. Presently a bit of an insider tip but no doubt not for long.

We came here as a large party celebrating a birthday and were very warmly welcomed, nothing was too much trouble.

Stayed at Crazy Moose with a group of friends over a weekend in July and we had an amazing time.It is the perfect get away from everything.From the crémaillère... read more Stayed at Crazy Moose with a group of friends over a weekend in July and we had an amazing time.It is the perfect get away from everything.From the crémaillère train to the overnight stay and fantastic scenery not to mention the food and welcoming from the staff.The hotel is perfectly placed from a randonnées perspective with direct access to all the mountain trails.The terrasse offers the perfect setup for a leisurely lunch if wanted with lounge chairs for the less active.Will definitely be back with another group.

The food was great but what made it was the staff who really went our if their way to find us a table then look after us. The views are unsurpassed and it is well worth the short walk up from the station
