Service was very friendly and spoke both English and Spa... read more Here for lunch, when we stayed at Tierra viva Hotel and didn't want to go downtown with all the crowds. Service was very friendly and spoke both English and Spanish. We got an appetite for the house, something with potato and a creamy sauce that tasted. My brother and I both had the grilled chicken that was delicious. Veggie Sandwich and the burger were also good. Nice presentation on the record too. The prices for the net are about 40/S and the (fresh and tasty) fruit juices that we had 15/S, which is somewhat expensive compared to the rest of Peru, but probably about average for a tourist village like this. The quality you get for it is worth it!

The p... read more This was one of our best meals in Peru. We were with a group so we had a limited menu from which to select but everyone was content with their selections. The presentation was lovely and the food was hot, well-seasoned and fresh. The fruit salad capped off a wonderful meal with the best fruit I had during my two weeks in Peru.

Despite being in the premises of Tierra Viva Machu Picchu and where its breakfast is served, the restaurant is a third party and doesn't belong to the hotel its... read more Despite being in the premises of Tierra Viva Machu Picchu and where its breakfast is served, the restaurant is a third party and doesn't belong to the hotel itself, in the same system as at the TV branch in Valle Sagrado. Breakfast is standard in all TB units, rather basic but you won't miss anything much; I myslef would rather have more regional opions in the menu... Breakfast is always included in the rate and asking for the room number is just for internal control. As a restaurant itself, the menu is similar yet very different from the one in Valle Sagrado; prices are similar and much too high, which doesn't seem that intelligent a strategy, for there is a lot of competition in the village and the hotel should offer a fat discount to guests eating there and/or make special deals for non-guests to feel persuaded to eat in a hotel restaurant! Let's also hope the chef and the head waiter are also different than then ones in Valle Sagrado, for the experience there (read review) was more than awful and it actually caused me not to choose Ayasqa for dinner yesterday! It could be the case for many other guests, so management of both restaurant and hotel must sit together, read the reviews here and change procedures urgently, running the risk of losing guests and clients...
