I was looking for a location for Easter Monday lunch and couldn't have found a better spot. A historic restaurant, just the way I like it: a few dishes, but all with a home-style flavor. Time stands still here. If you're looking for honest, no-frills Piacenza cuisine, Zingaro is the place to be.
My boyfriend and I found this restaurant on The Fork, and for a couples dinner we decided to try the cured meats appetizer with fried gnocco and giardiniera, the macaroni alla bobbiese, and the house desserts, and everything was excellent. The place is very quiet, and the young man who served us was very kind and helpful.
The restaurant is located in a charming and quiet location, usually not crowded or noisy, making it ideal for couples' dinners. The food is good quality; there's no readily available menu, but the owner lists availability based on seasonality. However, the selection of first and second courses (mostly meat) is generally extensive. It's listed on TheFork, which I consider a plus, making it easy to book independently and offering regular promotions. Mostly family-run, the owner is friendly and attentive to your needs. Portions are sometimes on the small side.
