We went out for Sunday tea decided on a pizza so we went to pizza mar although the staff where not completely unpleasant they were also not very friendly or tha... read more We went out for Sunday tea decided on a pizza so we went to pizza mar although the staff where not completely unpleasant they were also not very friendly or that pleasant, the young staff that were serving us def need training on how to be nice have a ready smile, we ordered a pizza a spaghetti Bol 2 drinks my partners drink was put on the table but I had to wait for mine I could see it on the counter just standing there turns out I had to wait for a glass. We were not asked if we would like any coffees or desserts was not asked if everything was ok with our meal. The drinks were very expensive, food was nice can't fault that, but improvement training for the serving staff on customer service greeting of clients when walking in to a restaurant needs looking at.

We stopped in for lunch after having a walk around town, and even though we were the only table our server treated us from the beginning like we were a nuisance. We ordered our food, never to be checked on again, and our waitress sat on her phone inside. A table near us was unoccupied the entire time we were there, yet the dirty plates and food scraps stayed on the table and attracted bugs and birds. Once our pizzas were delivered, my father in law 's was not the correct one and unfortunately he is allergic to shellfish so couldn 't even attempt to eat it. When we finally got the waitress over to explain, her first sentence was well, I said the order to you and you said it was good and then stood there stone faced at us. (Side note: I 've worked in hospitality a good portion of my life, and yes, it annoys you if you believe the mistake order is the customers fault but you NEVER say that and just go back and have a good rant to the kitchen while they fix it. Language barrier or not that is a terrible way to interact with people. Eventually she ripped the pizza from our table and when my partner went in to tell her not to make a replacement as our first pizzas took 20+ mins to arrive she said the kitchen had already started. Pizza was delivered by another staff member and we didn 't interact with her again. The pizza itself is cooked in a pie pan, so the base is soft and spongey and there is a thin crispy line of crust right at the top. I didn 't mind the different textures, but I found the sauce bland. There were 2 vegetarian options, and I found the size a bit small for a personal pizza. Given there are 2 other pizza places (including the delicious Pizza na Pedra on the same strip which offer better service and more typical pizzas, I 'd skip this one for sure. It wasn 't even cheap enough to justify the terrible service and lackluster pizza.
