Zapata's Mexican - Feedback

What Joel Blattner likes about Zapata's Mexican:
Table of 4 adults, 4 kids loved it. Huuuge portions. Super burrito was the size of a man's arm. Taco was the size of a human though. I did the create-your-own with tamales and a chile relleno, served with rice and refried beans. We were all happy with our food. Before we ordered we were served complementary chips and a thin salsa. The food presentation at the restaurant was beautiful, but unfortunately, the taste was not good. It was too salty and had an odd flavor. I ordered a beef chimichanga and my husband had the beef and shrimp fajitas. I tried his shrimp and it tasted old, like it had been reheated in a microwave. My husband, who is a chef, and I both know how food should taste. The lighting in the restaurant was poor, but it was clean.... View all feedback.
