It helped that one of our party h... read more As our southern Alberta road trip/Asian food quest continued we were intrigued by the positive reviews of this small town gem. It helped that one of our party had an epic (EPIC) ginger beef craving, with a penchant for a more candied style of ginger beef.<br/ <br/ So, we arrived and were greeted by a very friendly lady who took wonderful care of us. The food was across the board very good. Homemade wontons were delicious in the homemade chicken broth soup and as s deep fried apps. The ginger beef is definitely of the more candied style with a nice slow, balanced heat from chilies and ginger. The BBQ pork chow mein was a delicious highlight, and the piece de resistance was the seafood sizzling hot plate. Piled high with tender squid, scallops and big, juicy, sweet tiger prawns the hot plate arrived to well-deserved applause.<br/ <br/ This restaurant is well worth the visit!

This place is one of the best Chinese restaurants in central Alberta, we are very lucky to have such great food here in Olds! There isn't a buffet anymore, and that's okay, since it usually only takes ten minutes to get your meal. The owners and staff are very friendly, and are helpful if you need suggestions. They are also very accommodating if you have special requests. Truly a hidden gem!
