The food at this restaurant is very mediocre and the pub was empty. The only positive aspect was the service, as the staff worked hard. Overall, this place is very inconsistent. It's a shame, considering it's so close to where I live. View all feedback.

The chips were horrible some of the food was ok some was poor wouldn’t go again everyone entitled to to there own opinion but not for me
After waiting for another 30 minutes, our meals finally arrived. Unfortunately, my fish and chips were lukewarm and not hot, indicating that they had been sitting out for a while before being served. The portion was small, with only 8 chips, and the batter on the fish was soft instead of crispy. The peas were almost cold, and the tartar sauce had an unusual addition of onions. Overall, I was disappointed with the slow service, the quality of the meal, and the lack of attention to detail in the kitchen. The price of nearly £14 for my meal did not match the poor experience. I had higher expectations for homemade food and was left feeling unsatisfied.
We had booked a table and glad we did as it was very busy. The service was very good and the staff lovely . The salmon dish was gorgeous and the kids portions were very good
The pork belly rice bowl with kimchi and crispy kale is amazing. The cottage pie also excellent. Clearly the chef is very good. Excellent price too, the pork and rice dish just £12. As a JW Lees pub there are the usual tasty beers on the tap.
