Kingfisher
Description
The Kingfisher restaurant offers a mixed experience for diners, praised for its friendly staff and inviting atmosphere. While many customers appreciate the quality and freshness of the food, reports of limited draft beer options and inconsistent meal quality have surfaced. Special promotions attract visitors, yet some feel that the value does not always match expectations. Despite occasional complaints about service and food preparation, the overall ambiance and commitment to customer satisfaction keep many returning. Regular patrons enjoy the thriving community feel, particularly on quiz nights, making it a noteworthy spot for both casual and special outings.

The restaurant offers delicious food in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Adam and Pam make your dining experience feel special. The service is always excellent.
Lovely meal, in a pleasant and welcoming environment. The staff were very friendly and helpful.Looking forward to trying some of the other food options on our next visit.
We visited the Kingfisher in early February and enjoyed a tasty mixed grill with a 30% off mains promotion. However, we were disappointed to find only one draft ale available, which was not to my husband's liking. The staff were friendly and helpful, but there was a lack of atmosphere on a Friday evening. Our second visit on March 1st also had limited choices for draft beer. The bartender seemed disinterested and lacked personality. We ordered mixed grills again and paid upfront. Unfortunately, the gammon was mostly fat and the steak was inedible. It was clear that the staff did not care about customer satisfaction. This will be our last visit, despite its convenient location. There are much better dining options in the area.
We had another fantastic meal at The Kingfisher last week. They have recently updated their menu with competitive prices. The staff is exceptional, which is why we are regular customers.
Due to 30% discount almost everything on the menu was sold out ,so almost no choice other than Burgers or Steak pie ,Mash and peas . It was priced at £11.95 but had 30% off the price bringing it down to approx £8.36 which was just about what it was worth ! The pie was mince meat , with about 15 peas and( Mash ,which was very nice Had it been served with some carrots ,it would have improved the appearance of the meal immeasurably.
