Frydays Fish & Chips presents a charming atmosphere with a cozy café feel, welcoming diners with friendly service and a selection of complimentary newspapers. While most dishes are well-received, concerns linger regarding the quality of their pies and inconsistent portion sizes, particularly with takeaways. Some patrons have reported experiencing undercooked chips and less-than-fresh items, leading to disappointment. However, the freshness of the fish shines through, and the restaurant reassures customers by switching to new-season potatoes for improved quality. It's clear that Frydays has potential, but a commitment to consistency and customer care is needed for a truly stellar experience.

What Anonym dislikes about Frydays Springhead:
Please can all our customers accept our apologies for over the last few weeks for any chip issues you may have encountered, potato’s have seasons and unfortunately July August are mixed bags which is out of our control, the mixed potatoes all fry differently. We now have the new season potatoes in stock to provide the quality of chips we are all used to from the Frydays team View all feedback.
I used to live in the area and the restaurant was okay at the time. I stopped by while passing through and feeling hungry. I've never written a review for a fish and chip shop before, but I feel compelled to do so now. When I placed my order, there was a discussion between the two ladies working there about not having enough for a full portion. "You might have said that," one of them remarked. When they filled up my tray, one of them shook her head and looked to her colleague, who dismissed it. I was focused on my phone the whole time. I would've been willing to wait for a fresh, full portion, but it wasn't offered. When I got home, I found a small portion of stale scraps, a sausage that seemed like it had been reheated multiple times (my dog enjoyed it, though), and gravy that tasted like it had been poured out of a fat-filled bag. I'm giving this place a definite zero.

Avoid eating at this fish and chip shop at all costs! The chips are consistently undercooked and inedible, resulting in a complete waste of money. The staff are unfriendly and the owner is extremely arrogant. Even after making a complaint about the raw food, I only received a partial refund. The prices are far too high for the poor quality of food you receive. This is by far the worst fish and chip shop in the north west.
Good old fashioned English Chippy. Very Friendly staff. Fish cooked on arrival. Well worth a visit. Telephone orders welcomed too.
