Stopped for a fish supper while passing through town. Pleasant and cheerful service. We had fish chips and mushy peas and tea for £5.10. Fish in batter was delicious, crisp and crunchy. Chips a bit soggy and pale, mushy peas a bit sloppy. The mugs of tea were ok. Not asked how we wanted it, told the tea bags were left in for us to decide how strong we wanted it. I frequent this restaurant every couple of weeks. The food is always well cooked and reasonably priced. The staff is always friendly, and the place is spotless as it is quite open. I highly recommend giving it a try.
Cheese and onion pie is to die for, it’s home made and gorgeous. Chips are always fresh and tasty. I also love the potato scollops whilst I am waiting for my food. I also love the gravy, the curry. This chippy has got to be the best chippy in Shaw.
Saturday wouldn't be Saturday without our Dolphin chippy tea! Been going since I was a kid and I'm going on sixty now. There's a reason it's still there after 50+ years.
