I normally am not a fan of cake. Here i tried vegan black forest cherry cake and it was brilliant. That on top of the fact that they serve Bio-Zisch! ;

The Veggiemaid in Oldenburg has been there for a long time, new is the snack bar at the dam, where Stefanie Coor cooks delicious vegan dishes, a bistro where you can also drink a coffee if it is very early at 10 a.m. The concept seems to fit, because otherwise the snack bar would be safe again. It's all clean, Ms. Coor's a nice friendly woman with whom you can chat, just like before in the garden road, where I buy more often. The coffee comes from a small Oldenburg roastery, tastes excellent and is served with vegan dairy products, but I only drink black, I want to be beautiful. Update 14.7.2015 Recently a great burger was on the Facebook page of Veggiemaid. It was right today. An Orient Burger and a Hamburger were ordered, with a BIO ZISCH by Voelkel, Taste Matcha. My wife was thrilled, even my hamburger from blue beans was delicious. You like to go back there!

Also, zunächst einmal vorweg: es ist lecker und qualitativ gut! Und kinderfreundlich sind sie auch. ABER: wenn ich trotz leerer Plätze nicht in das von Gästen bereits besuchte Ambiente hereingelassen werde (ohne ersichtlichen Grund und ohne dass es uns erklärt wurde) und eine halbe Stunde mit Baby draußen warten soll, hört bei mir das Verständnis auf. War vermutlich ein Versehen.. Dennoch..

Café am Damm offers a range of hot and cold meals, bed and breakfast and last but not least home-made cakes which make you long for more and long for your grandma. Linger on one of the old sofas, have a read in one of the recent magazines or a long chat with a fried. This place does always offer a warm welcome to everybody. Service might be done by disabled. A place where life can be friendy.
