Hat Creek was a... read more Uncle Runt's; My memories go back to 1975/76 when I was the Caltrans Equipment Supervisor for District 2 for the field and resident mechanic's. Hat Creek was a regular meal stop any time of the year. I especially liked to take a new person on field trips stoping in for lunch and checking on the baby rattlers kept in a box at the front door.
