My wife and I had breakfast here one Saturday. We were drawn by the availability of paleo options on the menu. We got the paleo waffles with the Blueberry compote, a chicken sausage, and two eggs. Everything was delicious and the staff was very friendly. My wife also got a vanilla lavender hot chocolate that she really enjoyed. We plan to go back the next time we are in the Old Saybrook area. First time we went was a weekday and everything was perfection. Ordered wraps and they were layered and made very nicelyThe last 2 times we went were weekend days. Service was terrible and very rude. Best breakfast in town! The Montenegro scramble, delicious! Every item made to order with what must be the freshest ingredients around! This place is busy for all good reasons, so be prepared to wait during peak serving times, but I promise you it will be worth the wait!!
Breakfast is good. I've been here three times and each time it takes over 25 minutes to get food. I'm not sure if they are short staffed, but when there's only one other person in the restaurant it's frustrating.
The waitstaff are nice, and the coffee OK, but our food was really terrible. My wife ordered a Rubin sandwich, which was meh...ok, but the fries that came with it were horrid maybe days old? I had a Protein Plate and the hamburger and chicken were both way over cooked and the sausage was...of questionable origin. I hate writing a bad review, but this may be the only way change can happen.
Great place on the shoreline, with fun staff creative food ideas!!
