Don 't let the name fool you this is a Pharmacy of incredible French cuisine. This is not dining, rather an experience. The locale embodies French restaurants where quality and ambiance take precedence over speed of food delivered. The time, effort and care going into the plates made this near 2 hour lunch unforgettable. The French Onion soup was phenomenal and ideally seasoned. The Cocotte Tartiflette was so savory... I visited for brunch about 90 minutes before closing. There were two empty tables that needed to be cleared, but I was informed that they were very busy and all tables were full. When I inquired about the wait time, I was told it might take a while due to the crowd. We decided to grab a few items from the bakery instead. We were next in line, but then several parties left the dining area and were served before us, even getting their bakery selections first. We ended up purchasing three croissants and left. I'm not sure what went wrong, but there were four empty tables when we left. It seems they may not prioritize brunch customers on Sundays. As for parking, the lot is quite small, with only about 12 spaces available.
Fantastic little breakfast place! The food is amazing, and the service is outstanding.
What a delightful surprise! For years, we have been visiting our son, who is in a program for adults with disabilities. Being food enthusiasts, we’ve never really found the food along the shoreline to be noteworthy. However, this brunch exceeded all our expectations! We will definitely return.
Such a sweet little find! Everything was delicious!
Nice little spot in Old Saybrook that is worth checking out if you like French cuisine. It was quiet in the morning and not too crowded. The atmosphere inside puts you squarely into a little French bistro. The menu helps cement that feel. The service was good, but as it slowly filled with customers and only one waitress, it got more difficult to get their attention. That almost didn't matter as I was obsessed with the coquette I got.Highly recommend.
