I taste here the best porcino al forno . It 's a small restaurant, with a few tables inside and a few outside. The service was good, and the food was extraordinary. You must try it! We also taste a local dessert, with cheese inside, very good!
I haven't eaten here for about 10 years and probably wont again. While the food was good, the portions were way too small for this type of restaurant (more gourmet than farmhouse and very little selection of starters The staff need much more training before being let loose on the public. One of the waitresses was quite rude (note to staff... some foreign looking customers have actually lived here longer than you! Overall I was disapointed with the slide from excellent to mediocre
This is the kind if places where your senses are massaged and spoiled. Only issue was that i was on a diet and food kept arriving. I haven’t received the desert nor the bill arrived. So far i am full, happy, and full. Highly recommended. I’ll come back. The place is perhaps worth a picture. Food I can guarantee is ecstatic.
I am sardinian and been there three times with friends from oversea and always had a fantastic experience. Surrounded by hills and a beautiful panorama, you cannot miss this place If you want to have an authentic hint of sardinian food and culture. Only think to know if you are planning a visit: there is a fixed menu.
This place was a 30 minute drive for us through beautiful country side. It appears that everyone arrives around 8:30 so the service and courses can be kept flowing, it's a slick operation and good, although some thought they could arrive when they want. On arrival you'll be greeted by the owner and shown to your table where there is a couple of dishes waiting plus a carafe of wine and a jug of water. Once people get settled the courses started to come, and never stopped for 2 hours, approximately 12 courses, I lost count, by the time the suckling pig came I couldn't of cared if it was the chocochocist chocolate pudding in the world of chocolate, I was stuffed. Man v Food!! BUT I made the finish line. Some of the food was excellent and some like a bush tucker trial. If you like your offal you're in. We ate the brains or balls (not sure) but drew the line at tripe. Apart from that everything was palatable. The setting is idillic overlooking the valley, However we were seated in the first table at the entrance away from the tree cover dim lit area the had the better ambience and beautiful views. To make it worse, we arrived pretty much first at 8:15 plus not the last to book either on the list of reservations. People that had booked didn't turn up so loads of tables in the nice area were left empty all night which ticked me off and that's why they got 4 and not 5 stars. If the first there get the best tables, it would make sure people arrived on time. Basically it's €35 per adult and they charged €35 between two kids but there wasn't any difference in the portions. You'll be fed and watered well for very good value, by the end of the night you'll be stuffed. The downside is it's out of the way so one of you will be driving, so drinking is out of it, although the way the Italians drive normally who'd know! On the way back you're going down the mountains and you're on the inside from the edge which gives tolerance. We were the only English their and they don't speak any English (but I don't speak Italian) and don't expect them to either. Just say yes and try it. Have a good night.
