The price point is on the high side and the servings are small, but the food was very good! We had Spaghetti Vongole with mussels so fresh and pasta seasoning so tasty. Also had the monkfish salad with tomatoes, onion and basil which was served cold-style. Also had the catch of the day which was swordfish, and was served with some salad and avocado (but not very filling in itself in case you are hungry or a big eater).

As a party of 10 we booked... read more As regular visitors to Porto Rotondo we were excited to try something new rather than our favourite restaurant in the area ‘Bambusa’. As a party of 10 we booked well in advance. First off, the food is crazy expensive. We’ve gotten used to higher price points in Sardinia when compared to the rest of Italy but this was definitely exorbitant. But then again if the food and service is exceptional, it would be well worth it. The menu is quite small and based heavily on seafood as the name of the restaurant would suggest. We sampled a large amount of the menu and had no complaints about the food, however it didn’t exactly blow us away. What did blow us away was the weather. As we were dining the wind started to pick up and multiple requests for napkins to cover our shoulders with, in lieu of blankets that are sometimes offered in upmarket restaurants, were ignored. As soon as we finished our main course, it started raining. Our table was the only one in the restaurant which was not sheltered and at no point were we offered shelter inside the restaurant where there was ample space. For this reason we were not given the opportunity to sample any of the dessert items or finish off our meal with liquors as is our custom. The staff seemed more concerned with the state of their linen than they did for their clientele! Thankfully there are many great restaurants in the area, and next time we’ll try another one.
