The Globe Al Faisaliah - Olaya

First of all the the globe never answers their reservation dial-in number, you need to call the front desk so they transfer your call for them to answer it. The reservation guy told me they have no reservations available, but then I booked it from opentable and called them again just to mention that it was my anniversary and if they can do something about it. After reaching the hotel, They cancelled my booking for being 5mins late, I had to tell the concierge this before they let me upto the hotel. As I had mentioned it in advance that it was my anniversary so that they could do something special, flower or cake) nothing was done, only after I requested the waiter he said he would do something about it, all they did was throw some rose petals on my table. Food was good as expected by a 5* hotel. Do try their rib eye steak. Drinks were fresh and unique. The music selection was very poor, the playlist had 3-4 vulgar songs in the time I spent there.

The best dinner experience of my life. Superb food, excellent service. I would suggest the vegetarian menu . Customized service for anniversary or birthday

Disappointed with the options for vegetarian dishes as there was only a vegetarian dish on the set menu which my wife didn’t like anything on it apart from the soup! She was only able to order vegetable dishes separately as side discuses: asparagus, mushrooms, spinach and potato hardly appealing! Pretty bland and boring for a vegetarian! Also someone was smoking on the floor above and the smoke was drifting downwards smoking in a public area serving food is just not acceptable and is a health safety issue! You either need to have closed spaces or inform customers that smoking is permitted in the restaurant if told beforehand we would not have booked.

Lovely night and amazing, thoughtful staff. Will definitely be coming back again.
