Smallcakes Cupcakery - Olathe

They could make me a small custom cake within three days after ordering. I did everything online and they were prompt and the order was correct. that was our first experience with them and the cake was really good. the outer frosting was quite sweet, but my children did not complain! they pick up the peanut butter saw a cheese filling; they will not regret it. a little futile, but to get everything I asked without the annoying for a mother who procrastinated it was worth it.

My birthday was also Valentine's Day today. I came with my man at 2 o'clock. we are both male and African decent. immediately the (I suppose) owner who wore a pink pullover rushed to order us constantly when I told her and her assistant that I must see what kind of cupcakes they offer. that was occupied by customers. they wouldn't stop trying to get us out of intimidation because we're black males in a cupcake shop in olathe kansas. the casser even shook so badly, while the car stood in the corner and stared at us as if she wanted to call the police. the cupcake was great, but we felt very undesirable. very pathetic. I just wanted a cupcake for my birthday.

Ordered a cake for my mothers 80th birthday. Went to pick up the cake and they didn’t have it. Was told I never confirmed the order. Earlier in the week I went in to the store, ordered the cake, the lady wrote the details down and told when I could come pick it up. Now I am leaving to go out of town to the party and have nothing to serve her guests. Disappointed to say the least. I have been a customer for years. I guess I won’t be anymore.

11/13/2021, my boyfriend and I were visiting out of town and decided to stop here. We are African American, and we greeted the baker/cashier and she did not speak to us nor make eye contact. Barely wanted to help us. As we checked out a white family came in and her mood changed . She was happy, smiling, greeting that family and appeared to be more involved in assisting them. Very disappointed. Shouldn’t be working their if can’t treat everyone the same.

Best cupcakes I ever had and they were so well put together tasted gooood! I believe I purchased the regular size cupcakes. Definitely recommend sizing down for kids party! Kids only ate half cupcakes.
