We went here for the crab legs. They did not disappoint. They were fresh and well prepared. Our server. Renee was excellent. She kept up with the hungry people in our group. What Tom H doesn't like about Jumpin Catfish:
To start, I'm not one to post a lot of reviews but we ate there last night. I liked the décor, a lot of taxidermy. The place needed to be dusted and cleaned, badly. Could also use some remodel work. The staff was great but the food was sub-par. Plates at my table included catfish, crab cakes, chicken fried chicken, chicken fried steak and chicken fingers. It was ok. Beans were Good, hush puppies decent, slaw good service was good but scallops were less than great
Great selection of seafood and wild game options such as quail and duck.
The crispiness of the food is fulfilling without an added frIed/oily taste. The preparation and service is country wonderful with a southern flare. Try not to overdo it on the beans slaw before you get your entree. And top it off with their great sweet tea. Oh yes, Get a to-go box when you place your order!
Great food and great service. Super clean. Best ham and beans anywhere. Eat here, and your stomach will thank you.
My family enjoys it here! I personally like the gumbo they serve as the soup on Saturday nights. My husband enjoys the catfish. My daughter likes the hush puppies especially. She also likes to visit the fish tank.
