The Fois Gras was the best I have ever had followed by duckling which was cooked to perfection. With a pichet of red the price was very reasonable. We shall certainly be going again.

From chestnut soup with ceps and fois gras for entrées to steaks with roquefort sauce all excellent. I asked for my steak sanglante, my husband bleu to sanglante both cooked to absolute perfection served with crispy carrots and other vegetables. The roquefort sauce served separately so you choose how much you want) was delicate. We both had chestnut ice cream again delicious. The restaurant is out of the way and sadly when we went Oct 11th) we and one other person were the only customers. However, I imagine it is busier in the summer and definitely worth the visit. Ideally go early enough to wander around what looked like a charming hamlet. Service also excellent from a helpful and cheerful waitress.

The food and service are outstanding. We drive many miles to get there and it is always well worth it. I know nowhere I would rather go for a special meal. It is excellent value for money.

We are trying to see if we can go again before we go home, it isn’t cheap but it is one of the best meals I have had including London. We ended up having amuse bouche, starters, main course, cheese and desserts at 36€ a head, excellent value they also kept offering more delicious bread. The bottle of wine we had was at the pricier end of our usual spectrum but was delicious and turns out to be superb value as I can only find it online 20€ more expensive! All the meals were introduced and explained beautifully and the service was attentive without being intrusive. There is not a massive choice, but if you don’t want to try most of the menu then this place is really not for you. Really want to go again.
