The chicken fried steak was fantastic! The prices were affordable, the food was tasty, and the waitress was friendly. My friend requested a custom BLT with a fried egg, and the staff had no issue accommodating the request. We spent less than $20 and left feeling satisfied. View all feedback.
It's the perfect place to go if you want Mom cooking. Breakfast was on site and delish! People were friendly and everywhere were the happiest morning folk this side of the state. Great coffee and excellent service, which was added to amazing foods (generially proportional), made our stop remember. We're coming back! Thank you.
I liked this place. It was a quaint country cafe. I just had the coconut pie and ice tea. It was very good. Reasonably priced. The waitress was on the ball. This place was on the Route 66 passport. So we went.
Its worth a drive to get here. But, it may be a long wait on Sunday after church.
That's the best breakfast I've had in a long time from the hash browns to the thick homemade gravy flakey biscuit and tasty bacon plus unbelievable price
I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while looking for a place to stay for the night. It is located next to a small truck stop, which is a beautiful place to visit on its own. There is also a Dollar General a short distance down the road, convenient for truckers to pick up odds and ends. There is a small motel nearby that looks nice from the outside as well. The steak I ordered was delicious, only needing a little salt and pepper, though I personally would have preferred a bit of garlic. The house salad was good but could have used some onions. The chocolate cake I had for dessert was a perfect ending to the meal and was only $3. The waitress did a good job and I enjoyed my experience overall. For any ladies interested, there are several quaint shops within a 40-mile radius of this location, making for a great shop-hopping experience. Breakfast the next day was great, with Spanish omelettes, pancakes, and thick-cut bacon that was definitely not your average restaurant-quality bacon. Enjoy your visit to this hidden gem in the forest! (Update: January 16, 2022)
