This must be the best kept secret in town!I have been here many times and I have loved it each time. I ordered ham and eggs and found out their ham was pit ham not pressed and formed and tasted very good. I love the roast beef which melts in your mouth! and I was told they slow cook it over night. The Pork chop is tender and juicy and you get two good size pieces. The catfish is unbelievably delicious, and it did not... View all feedback.
My family wandered into this little place on a snowy night and we were TOTALLY taken back by how delicious all of our meals were and for such reasonable prices! We loved the hometown feel, the waitresses are salt of the earth, genuine sweethearts, and the variety is impressive. We ranged from steak, to Cobb salad, to breakfast, to a sandwich for that one meal and we were impressed with all of it. I only wished it was the type of place that stayed open super late!
Solid old school breakfast/diner establishment. If you order a burger it is a char-grilled, so you are getting the slight charcoal taste that used to be common but now is difficult to find. I consider this a huge positive. Burgers are huge, 1/2 pound. Waitstaff is great, again old school, you know the kind who have been doing this for years and years, and am guessing wait on a lot of 'regulars ' as this is that kind of place. They will be checking up to make sure you have everything during your meal.<br/ <br/ They had some pies listed on their specials board, was assured by the guy at the register they were made from scratch there. I have no doubt he was telling me the truth, but sadly was too full to try a slice, will have to try it next time.<br/ <br/ If you like comfort food in a non-chain, casual old-school environment by a place that probably hasn 't changed in a decade or so, this is a place you need to try.

I've eaten here several times and walk out happy every time <br/ Service is very very good and friendly and food comes out fast<br/ Hard to beat the prices<br/ I usually eat the grilled chicken breasts or hot beef sandwich and salad and blackberry cobbler . <br/ There is a Woodbridge on the south side but this one on 39th is much much better<br/ I drive from the south side to eat here.<br/ <br/ One bad thing about this place, the restrooms are the dirtiest I have ever seen in a restaurant . Floors, walls, stalls and doors are a -10. This is just not dirty today, this is every single day. The cooks and servers use this to wash their hands, when they touch the door to leave the restroom, their hands are contaminated.<br/ <br/ I would give this place a 5 if it wasn't for the restrooms
This spot looks like it's had a little wear and tear over the years, but inside it was spacious, clean, and the service couldn't be nicer. My eggs were cooked perfectly; the hash browns were hot, crispy and not greasy; the ham steak (actually two thin steaks), were grilled lightly, very flavorful and not salty--some of the best I've ever had. A really good breakfast spot for sure!
