The Hutch on Avondale - Oklahoma City

We had a fantastic experience on New Year's Eve. We were able to make a last-minute reservation with ease. The food was delicious and the service was top-notch.

The restaurant is lovely and the staff was excellent, but the food was mediocre. I enjoy dining at upscale establishments and trying unique dishes, but I was disappointed with the price for what I received here. I paid $60 for a 14oz ribeye with grilled vegetables and roasted potatoes. The steak was tasty, but the side dishes were lacking. The potatoes were more like au gratin than roasted, and the grilled vegetables consisted of asparagus, squash cubes, and dry broccoli. Perhaps it was just an off night, but I suggest improving the quality of the side dishes. Additionally, they were out of beef short ribs when we visited at 6pm on a Friday night, which was surprising.

I was planning to try this restaurant while my sister was in town from Seattle, but when she called to ask a question, the staff was extremely rude to her. We ultimately decided to go somewhere else. Service: 1 star.

Came from out of town, wanted a pretty lunch spot, seated right away, requested patio, bench and chair seating available with movable tables. Service was slow. Ordered an app of deviled eggs and beet salad with filet. Salad and filet were as expected. As in meat was cooked perfect medium rear!! Server never put in the app and when I asked about it he made a horribly offensive fatphobic comment regarding portion sizes. What had been a beautiful lunch left me feeling so much shame. Please don't judge other people's orders no matter what size their bodies are. As a server you have no idea a person's lifestyle. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a nicer spot to eat just stay away from that server. No tip was given.
