Had to go here for a family meal and was dreading it, as I knew that they mainly serve steak and non-vegan options, but was totally shocked when they were a whole vegan steak from impossible beef and the sorbet there were also vegan potatoes on the menu they make it with olive oil and it was super good View all feedback.
What Talia Marquardt doesn't like about Metro Wine Bar & Bistro:
Today's adventure #metrowinebarandbistro #wineflight I had the fantastic ahi tuna salad with yuzu vinaigrette and Terry had the chicken paillard. Both dishes were fabulous. We shared a wine flight. #moutonnoir knock on wood (Terrys fav) #truemyth (my fav) and #paulhobbs Russian river Our bartender Monica was fabulous and attentive. We definitely had a great meal #wine #eatlocal #ahitunasalad #chickenpaillard we will... View all feedback.
The experience here was very nice. I thought the wine flights were an amazing option to get to sample some other wines. The food was brought out in a very timely manner and was very good. We had 3 appetizers that came out very quick, and the main meal came out with great timing after finishing the appetizers. The tables did feel a little cramped however there were multiple parties of other customers at the time we were there.
The food was spectacular, but without a doubt the best was the service. a 10
From the time you walk in, you are seemingly transported to a quiet place away from the hustle and bustle and that oozes ambience. The tables are nicely appointed with a fresh flower, and shortly after you are seated fresh baked bread is brought. The lights are slightly dimmed and the music is relaxing jazz. The service is impeccable and it is an easy place to be romantic. The food. Where do I start? Everything we touched was over the top delicious. The spinach salad with the candied onions was sure to light up anybody's taste buds. I had the 8 oz filet au poivre and it came with red mashed potatoes skins on and green beans. The filet was amazing, and hard to beat anyplace else in town. For dessert we got a sampler trio which had crème brûlée, fudge cake and berry sorbet. With a cup of coffee, it is hard to beat this combination shared between two people. This is an extraordinarily special place. You step back outside and are once again in the middle of hustle and bustle and heavy traffic. But for an hour or two, you can get away from it all and enjoy an excellent meal, with excellent service, in an excellent environment.
Love this little spot. Definitely, a romantic atmosphere. The service was wonderful and my Flounder was delicious. I would go again.
Staff are attentive and polite. Food and presentation are excellent. Tables are a bit crowded and close together.
