Despite varying opinions on dishes like pulled pork and mac and cheese, frequent visitors continue to rave about the menu options, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere. Iron Star's unique offerings and consistent quality make it a destination for BBQ lovers in the area.
Iron Star Urban BBQ is very tasty. I have the Wednesday Special: baked potato, pancakes, pimento cheese, red chilli acid cream, mild BBQ and onion rings. It was undoubtedly one of the best pieces of BBQ I've ever eaten. Andre, the bartender, was so friendly, friendly and made the experience brilliant.
Beautiful atmosphere, Robbie my server / bartender was the best! I did it right and my food came out quickly. I have the 2 meat plate with ribs and brisket. 2 slices of brisket and 3 ribs (may have another piece of brisket, especially because it was good) along with Mac cheese with BBQ-bottom. The beans had a little spice at the back, but it wasn't overwhelming. Odd cutlery, but better than with the hands. Great melodies, great staff, friendly Bouchi, but not enough that I had to put my pinky on. Will definitely visit again without hesitation.
We stumbled on Iron Star after trying to go to another BBQ restaurant that was closed. This was one of those times we were unexpectedly very pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere was very cool and quiet, but with low keys playing good melodies, the service was perfect and friendly and the food was amazing. We had the smoked chicken that is hard to find and the sides with it were all amazing. The prices are reasonable and we had a little more left. This could just be our new favorite BBQ in OKC. Don't hesitate to go! Can't wait to take my family!
I have a new born baby so we sat in the lower available seat. It was illuminated in the restaurant like a rustic tavern. My waitress trained a new employee. You were wonderful. I had the BBQ chicken with green beans and imagination Mac and cheese. For an appetizer I had the Mommas deviled eggs. They were the highlight of my meal I ate them to make a quick picture, but believe me, you want them. They come with picked baby onions, jalapeno, and these delicious round green things I want more. The chicken was tasteful, but the chest was a little dry for smoked.
The brisket and black pepper smoked sausage were on point! Those deviled eggs and jalapeño pimento cheese were both to die for! Anytime I’m headed thru OKC, I’ll definitely be stopping by! The staff were very attentive and did an amazing job tonight!
