What Mark S doesn't like about Earl's Rib Palace:
This is the second time in a month that the same thing has happened. Based on that I believe that this is their business practice. I ordered the wings. The sign menu says 1lb. The last time I got 6 this time I got seven skinny dry little wings. I order this all over town and get 10-12 plump juicy wings everywhere else. The last time I asked about it and they brought me 6 more. I didn't even bother today. When ppl sho... View all feedback.
Tonight was a rough experience. We were really hoping for some good BBQ tonight. Didn't happen. Kids had ribs and fries. Dry ribs and cold fries. The "earls binge" came with dry ribs, dried out sausage, inedible brisket, and ok Bologna. Also, cold fries, and a salad with dried out onion and stale crackers. Guys. I'm really not that picky. But my goodness... everything seemed like it had been cut up, and sat out to dehydrate for the day. It was bad. As far as service, our waiter asked for our order with our drink order. Um. In a hurry? Then he brought our check with our food. Had to ask for the kids desserts that come with their meals. After all... it was pretty much all they had to eat. Hubs said his sandwich was ok. Hot links sandwich. The sweet tea was good. 1.5 for the sweet tea. We've eaten here before and it was fine. Probably even left a review. But today? Damn.
I felt a very happy return on my expenditure but didn't find anything of real significance at this restaurant which is much loved here in Oklahoma City. They offer more than the standard BBQ fare including burgers. Their sauce is one of the highlights and I recommend trying it with everything. Their BBQ is average and tends to be more of these southern style but holds itself together well. This particular location can be incredibly busy and a wait at the front door is not unusual. Get what you need when you order because it may be difficult to get a server to follow up with you afterwards. This is one of the few places I will eat barbecue at here in OKC.
Not good, party of 7, 3 tickets, mine was the first. I finally had to go to the counter to try and find out why everyone was almost finished, and my wife and I hadn't seen our food. I can only assume it was that they had forgot to bring it out. My burger was dry and the fries were cold. No, we are sorry. No, let us comp this one for our error. Bad form Earl.
