Great steakhouse, you should try their calf-fries... small dinning room, sometimes long lines, but that shows you how popular they are here in OK... People come from all over the state to have a nice steak with loved ones... View all feedback.
5 Stars, What a fantastic experience this original old School steak house had to offer. Excellent service, great steaks cooked perfectly as ordered. Loved the mac and cheese, the Lamb fries were very tasty.... The house Salad and dressing was very good, with its house made sliced bread sized curutons.Instagram @foodieadventurrsusa
Tried out Cattlemans on a short day trip to OKC after reading about how Oklahoma Famous it was. It's been around for over 100 years and I can see why!The quality of the steak was awesome. The tenderness, marbling and overall quality of the meat was really impressive. I will say that the seasoning of the steak needed to be more consistent. There were little spots of intense flavor and other areas lacking. Perfect cook though. The sides were good, fairly standard for this type of venue. Though the Mac and Cheese was really good and worth the add on to your meal. The house salad dressing was really a highlight oddly enough. Garlic flavor, rich and creamy with little bits of cheddar. Just awesome. Overall good visit.4 star rating is because we didnt get Forks at first, the Mac and cheese wasn't brought out and the seasoning on the steak. But i definitely recommend!
Have enjoyed good steak dinners at Cattleman's a handful of times over the past few decades when passing through Oklahoma City. This is a historic steakhouse in the Stockyards of OKC that is worth making time to experience.Waitstaff are timely, polite and very natural. Steaks are great, grilled perfectly and taste the way a d*mn good steak is supposed to taste. Salad, baked potato and desserts are just fine as well.
I recently had an amazing ribeye steak! I requested a table for five people, and the staff informed me that it would take about 30 minutes to prepare. While waiting, we were advised to go to the bar upstairs, which had a lot of space and chairs. I ordered a few drinks and was pleasantly surprised when our table was ready earlier than expected. We visited on a Wednesday, and they had a special deal on a 16oz ribeye steak. Some of my companions ordered the prime rib, which looked great, and they had no complaints. The customer service was friendly, and we had an overall good experience. If you're in the mood for a delicious steak, this place is a must-try! I requested my ribeye cooked medium-rare, and it was cooked perfectly. I opted for mac and cheese instead of a baked potato, which I regretted because of the overall reviews of the baked potato. They serve fresh rolls and a house salad with a homemade sauce, which was really tasty. Unfortunately, they don't have ranch dressing, but the sauce they provide is just as good.
Food was average. Baked potato was plain. Rolls were decent. Nothing special about the steak. The service was not that great, I shouldn’t have to ask for items that should be offered. For example, the waitress asked us to cut the steak to see if the inside looked good and walked away. I had to catch her at the barstool area and request she comes back so that I could ask for steak sauce. Then proceeds to bring out a baked potato and did not ask if we wanted chives or extra add-ons. This place is a Waffle House that’s named as a Steakhouse. Between that and the 3-5 flies we were constantly swatting away was annoying. This place is over rated and the food lacked flavor. The manager walked by several time and didn’t greet or speak to any customers either. Took the rest home for my dog.Edited: I see the owner replied swiftly, thanks, but everyone’s experience is different. Good thing your locals like it.
