There were limited vegan options available on this small island, but we were pleasantly surprised to find a small family-owned cafe nearby where we were staying. Each morning, we enjoyed a smoothie, a cup of coffee, and half of a delicious sandwich. The sandwich seemed to be their take on hummus and was quite tasty. We stumbled over this place in zamami and had a delicious lunch there. the avocado sandwich with freshly baked brot and the banana-cooked soy milk shake are delicious, as well as the chocolate-bananan bread fresh from the often and the star fruit cake. would have liked to go back, but had no time. if we are on the island again, we will definitely be back!
I am so happy to find a sweet little spot like this on such a small island. When I visited freshly baked sweet potato coconut cake was Today's Special. Vegan options were clearly labelled on the menu. I also learned that all shakes and smoothies could be made vegan. Great local flavours. Staff is friendly and presentation is great. I would give 5 stars if I could.
Not many vegan options on this small island but this little family run cafe was a stones throw away from where we stayed. Each morning we had a smoothie, coffee half a sandwich. The sandwich was their take on hummus I think but still very tasty. The cake we had was a warm walnut cake obviously very fresh. Only a couple of soy based smoothies on the menu but they were happy to accommodate. Very friendly people and a pleasure to spend part of our mornings with them :
We visited for lunch and had a banana and coconut smoothie with soy milk and an avocado, lettuce and tomato sandwich- both were delicious! They understood ‘vegan’ and prepared the sandwich without mayonnaise. The owners were lovely and welcoming- even popping out to buy another avocado after they’d run out. They also used metal straws. A great addition to the limited vegan options on zamami!
They sell smoothies using soy milk and coconut milk which are really tasty. They also have a vegan sandwhich. One day we went there it was avocado and the next day hummus. They were both really tasty. The family who own it are very friendly too
