I've been visiting this place for nearly a decade now. They offer fantastic bread and cookies. It's a cozy little shop where everything feels right as soon as you step inside, so there's not much else to add. The service is consistently excellent, and you can always ask for recommendations based on what you’d like to pair with your bread. They also have a stamp card—one for bread and another for treats. It's worth noting how resilient this place is; they temporarily closed operations after someone crashed through the front window, which I’m sure was one of the last things they expected to deal with (aside from a pandemic), but they have bounced back.
Only place in Lansing with Challah on Friday! I'm grateful I found this place. It is very tasty
The best dark rye bread around.. have purchased bread from Breadsmith for about 20 years I've tried the other bread stores but Breadsmith makes the best bread in the Lansing and East Lansing area
