The views from the terrace of the restaurant are amazing. The food is good and the waitresses are very cheerful and helpful. Unfortunately the menu was in French but the waitress was happy to translate. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Resto de la traverse:
We were a few people (8) and wanted to stop to eat. Could not sit outside, not enough umbrella to get some shade ...maybe they could improve on that. So we were inside in the AC. The service was really fast and friendly. The food was good. We had different meals like " guedille homard" and "club La traverse", both really good.If you are on the terrace, you have a nice view of the ferry and the water. View all feedback.
A good lunch. Nothing fancy or extraordinary here but decent poutine and overall OK service and experience. Just in front of Oka traverse.
My advice to the restaurant would be to not offer dishes that they are not able to make properly. The Thai chicken wrap that our hostess recommended was described as "really delicious," but it was actually a failure in fusion cuisine. It contained breaded chicken fingers, cheese, and bacon - ingredients that do not belong in a Thai wrap. The sauce was slightly sweet and barely spicy, and the dish was more of a panini than a wrap. On a positive note, the chicken wings and onion rings were good, but the homemade chips and fries were average. The spaghetti was overly seasoned with oregano, making it bitter. The coleslaw was average. The food was freshly made and presented nicely in baskets, but the service was average and the waiting time was acceptable. The restaurant had a simple decor with shiny red tables and two screens showing the Tokyo Olympics. The restaurant was clean and the outdoor patio had a nice view of the water and ferry pier. However, the door to the patio made an ear-piercing squeak every time it was opened. The prices were expensive for the quality of food. Overall, the food was heavy on fried items, light on vegetables, and lacking in flavor. I would recommend looking elsewhere for a good meal.
I had always wanted to have a meal at this restaurant while out on my motorcycle, but I was always too busy. Finally, I was able to stop by on a Sunday morning ride to Oka. The server was friendly, pleasant, and efficient. We visited during the transition from breakfast to lunch. Both my companion and I had the Tomato and cream soup, which was delicious, and we shared the club sandwich platter, which was also very tasty. I had read some reviews mentioning soggy fries, but ours were hot, crispy, and delicious. The club sandwich was fantastic, served with coleslaw and a large pickle slice. Excellent job Resto De La Traverse; we will definitely be back soon!
The restaurant's terrace offers stunning views. The food is delicious and the friendly waitstaff are very attentive. The only downside was that the menu was in French, but the waitress kindly offered to translate.
We were in the region and decided to try Resto La Traverse. The Restaurant is located almost near the water and offers a nice view if you sit outside. When we arrived it was full due to a beautiful sunny day but we were seated in less than 10 minutes. The waitress was friendly but the service was super slow due to being packed. We tried the Grilled Chicken Submarine (good) and La traverse Sandwich with chicken, cheese and bacon (very good). It was our first time there and we enjoyed it overall.
