Unfortunately we were extr... read more We were guest at Ojo Caliente in Ojo Caliente NM. We have visited this resort the last few years and have had a wonderful experience. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed and disgusted that a place that is on the higher end would have visible mousetraps in their restaurant. Visible mouse traps in a restaurant during operation is absolutely unacceptable. I Took pictures of the trap and our table was right next to it. I spoke with night restaurant manager and he was no help as well. I would like to know how this can be made right? #R40779

I had low expectations given the current 3.6 average and the fact that this is a resort restaurant, but we were so surprised by how good the New Mexican dishes... read more I had low expectations given the current 3.6 average and the fact that this is a resort restaurant, but we were so surprised by how good the New Mexican dishes were at Artesian. Ojo Caliente was the end of a 7-day trip through New Mexico, and the steak fajitas and chicken mole were some of our favorite meals after many quality ones preceding our stay. The staff members are extremely attentive and friendly (they remembered us after one visit), and I want to give a special shout out to Ivan. Lastly, while the food can be a bit pricey, which is unsurprising for a resort and the only place in town, the beer and cocktails were very reasonable. Overall, I would highly recommend The Artesian and adjacent wine bar, even though you probably don't have much of a choice anyway!
