First time visit today. The hot and sour soup was delicious. Orange chicken was great. Atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. You get a decent amount of food for the money and the service was on par with similar restaurants. View all feedback.
What Angela Battisti doesn't like about Yu’s Maple Garden Chinese:
I?m not sure who does the ratings for restaurants in Utah. This is yet another well rated restaurant we?ve tried during our trip to Utah that was bad! Don?t be fooled by the inflated ratings here! This place is not a four star restaurant! Fried food had a funky taste to it, like the oil was old. My dish had an unappetizing gelatinous sauce, and my rice also had an ?off? taste. I always loved Maple Garden when I was little and was sad to see it close. Luckily, it reopened at the Union Station with the same quality of food. I love the Szechuan chicken the most and the ham fried rice is good too. The lady who is there most of the time who I think is the owner has been very nice and at one point we had forgotten something at the table and she ran out of the establishment to give it back. Mind you this was on a very busy day and so we were very happy with the service. One day though, she came across as a little rude, but I?m sure she was just joking. Overall, I am glad to see it up and running again because the food is just so good.

My husband said that his food tasted like it had been previously frozen. Restaurant was clean and our waitress was excellent (she literally ran around) but the food was a big NO. There were plenty of other patrons, so maybe the food doesn?t offend everyone here like it did us?
We absolutely LOVE this place! The owner is delightful and the food is always top notch! We come here regularly for either dine in or take out. To the owner, I LOVE YOU thank you for being open.
Came here on a Friday afternoon and was surprised to see such a select amount of people. The server was quick, the service in general was as well. The food came out swiftly and the food itself was pretty damn good. Much better than most Chinese restaurants in the area anyways. The chicken was tender, the rice was soft, the egg drop soup was a great starting size and had pretty decent flavor, and the wontons were crispy. Not pricey, solid location(although it is a little hidden). I would recommend this place over any other Chinese restaurant in the area or for any casual dining events.
Nice little Chinese restaurant in the same building as the railroad museum. The service was very fast and the food decent. I wasn?t a fan of the kung pow chicken, but the moo shu beef has excellent flavor. It?s probably also the best price for food in historic Ogden.
