He brought char... read more We were actually enroute to another spot when we decided a change of plans may be better. The best part of our experience was our server, Dylan. He brought charm and ease with his service which was refreshing. The owner, Kevin, kindly checked in withus a few times. The sampler appetizer platter was the perfect accompaniment to our Cosmo Margarita.

It was 5:30 on a Thursday and we were the only people in a dinning room. The carpet also had a strange smellcoming from it like a hotel room.

The adjacent bar was a little distracting especially with children sitting at the bar and people yelling toother customers across the restaurant. However, the tables and even the ceiling fans were clean. I had the ribeye which wascooked as requested. The side salad was a little heavy on the oil. The bread wasn't brought out until the meal had been served.I ordered a bloody Mary. It was heavy on the mix and light on the vodka. My wife had the sangria spritzer that was way heavy onthe peach schnapps. Waitresses were very friendly albeit busy. The wait times were pretty long for the amount of customers butagain, Covid.

The waiter got one of the meals wrong. They over charged for a meal on the receipt. Way over priced. Will not be back.

The food and service fel... read more I was disappointed with my experience at Clayton's. Upon entering, it was clear that the owner doesn’t take pride in the establishment. The food and service fell short of expectations. The side salad was simply a bowl of lettuce with two onion rings and a single cherry tomato at the bottom. The Thousand Island dressing seemed homemade but lacked the expected texture and thickness. My steak was bland and lacked flavor, even with the seasoned butter on top. My wife ordered the chicken Caesar salad, which had a thin, watery dressing. To summarize, we encountered bad food, poor service, long wait times despite the restaurant being half empty, and an atmosphere that felt tacky for what is supposed to be an upscale dining experience. We won't be returning to Clayton's.

The drive from Hillsboro, MO was well worth it. The food, service, and ambiance were excellent. Whether it's for a special event or a casual weeknight meal, Clayton's is a great choice. And make sure to save room for their incredible Pimp Cheesecake – it's a must-try!"

Kevin and his staff were fantastic and the event was well-organized with assigned table seating and food setup. I appreciated that we were able to relax and enjoy time with our family without feeling rushed. My husband and I have dined here a few times for dinner and have always been completely satisfied with the food and service. We will definitely be returning next year for Easter brunch. Thank you to Kevin and the staff for a wonderful experience!

Th... read more This restaurant is outstanding with delicious food, a hidden gem! If you visit a chain steakhouse for a filet, you are missing out by not going to Clayton's. The chicken wings are amazing! The cannelloni is the best I have ever had. The Cajun pasta is delicious. Prices are very reasonable. The staff is courteous. Kevin, the General Manager, makes it a priority to visit every table to ensure your experience is perfect.

We... read more My husband and I struggle to find places in the area to go for a nice dinner out. Often we are disappointed with the food and/or service for the price paid. We tried Clayton's last night for dinner hoping to find a new place to add to our list of favorites, and were very pleased with our experience! The food was all great so fresh and flavorful and the service was extremely friendly and attentive.
