we were already in hamm a few times (and like to come back). the service was very friendly - the family produces the wine that is served there, and there is a great choice. the menu is pleasantly short, there is something for every taste, but the (very good) kitchen can focus on quality instead of quantity. Owner of the rheingauer hofs recommended a visit in hamm. I'm so glad he did this! this was my first station in a weingut in the rheingau. I came by late night to taste - and I didn't know what to expect. to the happiness I met on christine, who leads the place and is the wife/owner of the owner. she was busy with other guests, but took time for me to try the variety of wines that the weingut hamm produces. hamm produces – like most renowned producers in the region – a great variety of wines. all good things. I tried the giants. I had a completely individual experience. she arranged something good cheese and broth to my tasting, which made it a wonderful experience. she explained to me the German conceptualized and classified – what can be very confusing for someone who is not used to them. a few days later I visited hamm to dinner. they and their employees have made the food recommendations based on my wine selection (yes, we are in the first place!). I ordered the cheese oufflé with an auselse. I was very happy and happy. hamm is a nice and friendly place to eat in an inn or to taste weine (in a house that is probably 400-500 years old).
We were often in the winery/restaurant hamm. from any reason, for the jazz concerts and then last september for a special birthday party with 35 family members and friends. the wee were (and are always) top, the 4-course menu was gourmet class. the atmosphere in this beautiful old building complex is warm and penetrated by the historical and cultural riches of the region. the owner's wife, who leads the gastronomic part of the weingut, and the staff were very helpful in defining the specialties for the celebration. it was a big success, though something was overcrowded.
We were here two times with friends and every time we're excited. In addition to the good cuisine of the winery, the long journey from the Schaumburger- Mindener-Land of course also dedicated to buying wine. In the meantime, the next generation has taken over the row, but the quality is still top! The cosy courtyard of the winery is also ideal in Corona times, as the appropriate distance is guaranteed. The team of the Hamm family is attentive and so the glasses are always filled. The menu is small but fine. Whether Roastbeef or Zisterzienser “Brot” or salad it was super delicious. And something else. You don't have to talk about the wines. Everything is available and tastes excellent from the big late leg to the Late Pinot in various extensions. I would like to highlight the excellent trester that rounded off the evening with an espresso. Summary: Ambience: cozy and stylish service : very friendly and attentive price-performance kitchen : absolutely TOP price-performance wine : very good Our personal conclusion Together with our friends we returned with 16 wine cartons. We will certainly come back, and Evtl will be back there the sworn calf bags from our previous visit, which have remained in my memory.
The service unimaginable nice, flotted and helpful. The ambience is also beautiful, lots of wood and quiet colors and separate rooms, so it will not be too loud. The card is varied, the prices are completely ok there are main dishes under 10 euros and some are even vegan marked. Would go every day if we don't go on tomorrow.
