When we first stepped into this restaurant, we paused for a moment, as it was empty. It was however a wednesday evening. We ordered some specialties, and we also listened to the recommendations, we had a wonderfull evening. Great people they offered to pack up what we couldn't eat, without us having to ask.I recommend this location to everybody looking for a quiet night out while in Odorheiu Secuiesc. View all feedback.
What Toma Constantinescu doesn't like about Gondüző:
right in the city centre. Clean. Some of the rooms have full size windows which look onto the street at pretty much ground level. Breakfast is a lottery as, typically Romanian/Hungarian, nothing is wasted. If you are the only guest you may wake up one morning and it is a la carte. Owner is a nice guy and you may get to enjoy a late evening glass of palinka. I nearly said "in the bar" but there isn't one. Another tip.... View all feedback.
Center location, excellent food and service. especially great for a peaceful meal, as the restaurant tends not to be too loud. their large selection of dressings are fresh and prepared from the best local ingredients before site. we often come with family and...Friends here highly recommended!
We stayed at the Hotel Gonduzo for 7 days and had dinner at the hotel 5 of those days. We could (and probably should have) tried other restaurants in town but the food was simply so good and inexpensive. We are a family of 4...and had dinner for less than $25 total (main and dessert). The menu has many traditional Hungarian favorites as well as some Romanian and 'western ' dishes. Be sure to try the local dishes which they do very well like Hungarian stuffed cabbage (one of the best I 've had). The service was also great, very friendly and prompt without being intrusive. I highly recommend trying this restaurant if you are staying in Odorheiu.
There is not much to say ... excellent food and serving to measure. I spent an unforgettable evening with my friends and I will definitely come back. I recommend lamb cooking irreproachably. I recommend you with confidence!
I had a beef tartar for starter and steak for mains. Both dishes were amazing and the service was really great. I recommend trying a local Hungarian red wine - it went really well with the beef.
