Some things are different, like the risottos, or the pineapple carpaccio, but they do go very well with the rest of the food. Not cheap, but top quality, so well worth it.

The food was... read more Very popular place and it’s understandable why (we arrived at 12.30pm on a Tuesday without a reservation but all tables were taken by around 1pm). The food was absolutely delicious, home cooked and filled with flavour. The staff are extremely friendly, even helping with our terrible attempt at Portuguese. The menu is extensive but they also have daily specials which looked very popular, and delicious desserts too. We accepted the offer of all the couverts, which included olives, bread, prawns, mushrooms, and excellent presunto ham at €20, worth every penny as it’s the best we’ve ever tasted but something to be aware of if you’re on a budget. We are already planning our next visit in 3 months time.

It came with some horrible onions that were marinated in wine, which made the sweet potatoes taste like they had gone bad. The other dish was a steak with cream sauce and mushrooms, the meat was too thick and chewy, not grilled. Overall the experience was not nice and the restaurant is very expensive for its location or quality I don’t mind paying a lot for a good meal)
